I did win the medal too (handicap of course).

Great stuff Z; we might have a chance round your gaff if you can knock a couple more off? :D

42-40-39...

I played 9 holes on 3 different days last week. It's the first time I've played 3 times in one week since the 70s when I lived in Jamaica. I'm hoping to play twice this week too.
I've had a good day if I didn't fall out of the cart...

It depends on which zombie turns up - the 81 or the 105!

I can definitely relate to that. Last week, I felt like I had control over the ball. My tee shots and iron play were pretty good.

This morning, nothing worked. I made 8 bogies and 1 double bogey.

I would like to shoot the Dennis that showed up today, but I'm afraid I'd scare away the Dennis who is going to play tomorrow.

Played the last inter-club Winter League mach today at Guildford v Puttenham - Puttenham are the "arch enemy" and we only managed half a point from four matches when we played the match on their track earlier in the winter - Added incentive today was that they needed a good win against us to win the league - My partner & I held the lead going into the back nine with holes 12 through 16 all decided with birdies & nett birdies - I holed a good putt on 17th for a half & go dormie 1 up down 18 & had to hole a smelly two-footer there to halve the hole & win the match 1 up - We reversed the result from the away match & beat them 3 & a half to a half - This resulted in them losing the league by 1 point (what a shame!)
Score-wise, my approximate score (as there were gimmes) was 1 over par ... Paul

Not much activity here (apart from myself obviously!) so I will gloss over the friendly senior match I played on Tuesday this week & mention the comp round I played today at Guildford - Start was delayed by about an hour due to fog :( & then it was cold & breezy most of the way round, though some milky sunshine did make an appearance over the last few holes - Not a great start for me, despite hitting the 900 driver well on most holes - I had a 1 point 2 point rota going for 8 holes & finished with a meagre 14 points at the turn - Things picked up considerably on the back 9 where I improved to rota of 3 points 2 points for seven holes & finished with 21pts - So 35pts overall & considering my front 9 performance, I can't be too disappointed - Course was playing tough off back tees & only 37pts was leading when I left the course

Played 12 yesterday and shot a 33 ,-1 gross on front 9.Level back 3.Hit it a long way yesterday with the firmer ground.287yd 3 wood on 2nd into greenside bunker.1 yard short of green on par 4 280yd ,7th.Hit 3 more approaching 270yds with the 3 wood.Used my new T7's for the first time and i love them already.Lovely feel and yardage look about right now i changed to 50,54 & 58 deg lofts.Played another 15 today.Played back 9 first in level par.All pars. Then played front 5 and 9th.Birdies on 1st and 2nd,then 3 consecutive bogies after hitting 3 consecutive 1st putts well past the hole.Par on 9th for a 1 over gross.Greens have been micro tined this week and are still pretty good to putt on actually and we have started cutting aprons,fw's and rough again also.Looks like it could be windy over the weekend?

International pairs qualifier at our place today. Teeing off at 8:10 we definitely had the best of the weather.....

After my partner birdied the 1st for 3pts we both missed putts for 3pts on the next 4 holes. We both then birdied 6 and he then birdied 7 for 4pts. Lip out for birdie for me on 8 followed by 2 close birdie putts on 9 meant we hit the turn with 23pts and a massive sense of frustration that we weren't 2/3pts better off.
Both birdied the par 5 10th, partner birdied 11 and then a 2ptr for me on 12. Partner birdied 13, I missed 5footers for birdie on 14,15,16 but partner birdied 16 so we garnered 8pts from those 3 holes.
17 is a 475yd par 4 SI2. Hit a decent drive to 180 out and then stiffed a 7i to pin high and made par after sliding the birdie putt past. We par'd 18 for 47pts and we're disappointed not to break 50. Not like we are bandits off 5 & 7 but still got grief in club after. Guess that goes with winning!!!!!

partner shot -3 gross! I just ambled along to 36pts on my own ball
