Caddie Billy Foster

Well poor Billy was injured earlier this year and Lee Westwood has always said when he reecovers the bag would be waiting for him. As it turns out, Billy will only be able to do every other week. Not ideal if you're playing 6 weeks in a row as Lee is in Feb.

So Lee has decided to stick with his current caddie and part ways with Billy.

Let's hope he gets better and picks up another top pro to team up with. He always looks like he's having fun out there and he and Lee obviously get on very well.

It's quite the career he's had though up til now...

Gordon Brand Jnr. Seve, Thomas Bjorn, Sergio Garcia, Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood and even deputised for Steve Williams on Tiger's bag, and countless Ryder Cups on the bag.

Nice interview here

I don't think he will be waiting long for an offer once his injury is sorted out. Always like his stories about being on Seve's bag.

That sucks, those two really seemed to work well together as a team.

Isn't Lee married to his sister, or is it the other way about???

Shame, Billy is a top rate caddy, but he'll get another bag without any problem!

Isn't Lee married to Andrew Coltarts's sister?

He is. Shame about the split, but can understand the reasons for it. Lee needs to get his short game sorted out, he seems to have worked with a number of reputable short game coaches but never seems to like what they get him to work on, despite his chipping and putting being well below the standard of the rest of his game.

Sad to hear about Billy Foster, he was tipped to be Tiger's caddie after the Williams split. Hopefully he'll recover.

It's been noted that Westwood's short game has come on a lot this year. He is 4th in Putts per green in regulation. So I'm sure he is taking a positive from that. The fact he's had a relatively quiet year by his standards will be good for him next year as far as majors are concerned, he went into all of them this year under pressure/expectation from the media. One of the nicest guys on tour by the way.
