Can someone please post a review of the JPX 825 3 wood?

Does anyone have the shaft specs for the blue eye orochi? The website says 55g and 4.0 torque for a Regular shaft. Can this be right?

looks like 55g is the weight for the regular shaft, it's 10g heavier in stiff flex.

I reading a couple of quick reviews from guys on golfwrx that have the 3 wood today and they were impressed with it. I think I might have to pull the trigger on one of these.

Not sure about the D0-D2 swing weight. The 3 wood is 42.75 inches long. How can it have a decent swing weight with a shorter than usual shaft and a 55g shaft???

Couldn't resist... just got back from the golf store.

Got myself a JPX 825 3wood, 15* in the orochi blue eye stiff. It says 60g on the shaft but the website says it is 65g.

The regular is way too light and whippy. I could only swing it at 85 mph before it got uncontrollable. The stiff was fantastic. I was able to swing smooth with it at 90mph+.

Finally I have found a shorter than standard 3 wood (sub 43") with a square face. Titleist 3 woods are too hard to hit off the deck with the open face. Taylormade have a shut face on the RBZ and the shaft is too long. Was tempted to get a Cleveland Mashie 3 wood, but the small deep face will bite me in the long run. What's so hard about just making a square face with a shorter shaft length? I think Mizuno have hit gold with this JPX series. Well done!

Will report back once I get a chance to hit on the course.

Sounds good. A good review on this thing will surely put my car on autopilot and there will be nothing I can do to stop it driving me to the store to order one.

Hello all. I've been searching for some info on these. I haven't found them locally yet. I'm curious about head size CC. Maybe a comparison to the 650, 910f, G20, Exotics XCG's

Thanks

Hello all. I'd love to find a review of the size of the fairway metals. Specifically the CC. Im familiar with the 650 and wondering how much larger the jpx 825 is in comparison to that or say the 910f or G20.

I want to like this, but would be buying unseen.

Thanks

Had my first hit with the JPX825 3wood, 65g stiff orochi blue eye.

Why you would buy it:
1. The sound - it's the equivalent of the MP iron, when flushed you get nice resonant reassurance.
2. The look - this thing sits square with a decent sized head, not open and not closed.
3. The shaft - although other manufacturers are starting to put in stock premium shafts, the Orochi feels good with good torque numbers. Also, Mizuno have made this club slightly shorter than 43", which makes it so much easier to hit. It's a shame Mizuno didn't make the JPX825 driver shorter than 45", they made it 45.5" which is far too long.
4. Premium looking headcover. The MP650 headcover looks cheap compared to this one.
5. Performance - on par with any other 3 wood out there in terms of distance, but the JPX825 is very straight (shorter shaft and square face).

Why you wouldn't buy it:
1. Perhaps the only reason is the shaft. Maybe a bit light for some people.
