Mp64 irons shaft feels short

Hi was wondering if anybody could help me out I recently purchased mp 64 irons 5 to pw and a h4 4 iron.i was custom fitted for Nippon 950 shafts standard length, 1 degree upright.When I got these clubs I was eager to hit them obviously so I took them up the range and pretty much flushed everyone . But I did notice the clubs felt shorter than my cleveland cg7 tours .took them on the course and they felt short and dont feel right I understand now that mizuno s are slightly shorter . Just wondering if there s anything I can do eg lengthen them by 1/4 etc or is it something I need to get used to.

Any help much appreciated love these clubs and hope I haven't wasted my hard earned money

Surprised the fitted didn't catch on to this during the fitting. I take it he did do all the usual static measurements as well as the DNA process. Maybe you're just on the cusp between normal length and + length. I'm 6'2" and have fitted clubs at +0.5" but can also play an off the shelf standard length without any ill effect.

You could have the grips blown off and the shafts plugged but it will slightly affect the swing weight.
Personally for 1/4 inch I don't think its worth it. And as you said your flushing the ball so standard Mizuno length must be close.

Cheers for the help went up the range last night and hit them really well not losing any distance and a lot more acurate .I'm only 5'10 on a good day and I think it's something that just needs a big of getting used to As my clubs before we're just off the shelf and there's barely any difference in length between them and the mizunos .i did try half a inch longer in the mizuno and they felt to long for me . I'm thinking I'm just gunna get used to them over winter . Can anyone answer why older mizuno irons are not 1/4 shorter like there new irons ? Or is it basically because they feel you have more control with a shorter shaft?

You need to be carefull how you reference the shaft length. Like all measured stats for clubs it depends on the manufacturer and how they do things. Not ideal fior us, but we have to make do.

If you are striking the ball well and making a good shot, then looks like you have the right weapons for your swing.

Just needs a bit of bedding in time and then the sky will be the limit

Like DCB says, manufacturers measure differently. Mizuno measure before the grips go on, I believe Titleist measure after = 1/4" difference for basically the same length club. Others like TM just have longer shafts and stronger lofts so the can claim their 6 iron (anyone else's 4 iron) goes over 200 yards.

Seems like the 64s as they stand are working very well.
