Not So Direct Golf

I know Direct Golf have very misleading offers, but for me, this one takes the biscuit.

I have a 20% discount code, so I decide to add an MP650 17 degree to my *****. Direct Golf have them priced at £101.15.

I add to basket and put my code in at the checkout. The price then changes to £129, deducts my discount of £25.80, leaving me a net price of £103.20 - £2.05 worse off!

Anybody else found any cracking offers recently?

I presume you contacted them to complain? What did they say?

Ha Ha. The filter is almost as sensitive as Mr Wenger himself!
And that's Celtic Bil's cryptic clue for 2012 :)

I couldn't be bothered to ring them Dee. They have crazy 'discounts' like this all the time.

Just ordered from Golf Store Europe with a £10 discount and quidco cashback. Around £84 quid.

Now Pete's going to cheer me up with a cracking price, I bet.... :)

Got the DG mailshot last week and had a look. When online I read the small print. It talked about the normal retail price not already discounted items.

There was also a catch all type exclusion for anything else they might think off if it became necessary :(

Not such a great offer after all, especially as you had to spend more than £100 to get the 'special' discount

What annoys me about offers like this is claims of massive discounts against RRP but the RRP quoted is way more than the "official" RRP.

I really ought to write to my MP, he's good at calling people in authority names. Maybe Watchdog would be better, is Anne Robinson still on it???

Has anybody ever sold anything @ RRP?

I laugh at the sales promotions - Save £299 on last weeks Taylor Made driver, now only £200.
Simply translates to 'RRP is £499' even though it's never been anywhere near this price!
