Wrist to floor vs knuckles to floor

Most OEM's use the wrist to floor measurement for irons. Mizuno uses the knuckles to floor so who's right and who's wrong?

When I got fit by Ping, Callaway, Titleist all told me one inch over, while Mizuno told me 1/2 inch over.

I'm 6.4 and my wrist to floor is 39 inches and my knuckles to floor 35 inches.

My Ping 5 iron is 38.75 that would make my Mizuno 5 iron 38.25?

So this Mizuno forum has no one from Mizuno and answer this question?

it would appear to be 38.25 looking at the chart on the US site. But go to a fitting centre and you will get the actual measurement you need as its a guide. You may set up and swing the club in such a way that you may need a length that is not given by a static fit.

Yeah the static fit is purely a starting point guide.

A decent fitter will always look at leangth as part of the dynamic fitting process (lie board and impact tape will point towards length too)

I got fit by a Mizuno rep and he did the lie board and impact tape will point towards length too.

Just a half inch vs. everyone else at one inch

What exactly are you waiting for an answer on? It seems someone already answered your question. Different OEM's use different measurements to fit an individual for their clubs. No right or wrong answer.

Wrist to floor or knuckles to floor, which is correct? The simple answer to your question is they both are. It's just two different equations used by different manufacturers to get the correct club length.

Are you looking at the picture below thats on the US Mizuno custom fitting page, to work out what length is right for you? From what i can see thats just a rough guide only. You will need to have a proper fitting to find out what length you need.
