Today was my 3rd 8 holes of practice this year. 3 over with a couple of 3 putts. The confidence I gained in my wood game towards the end of last year looks to have stayed with me. Those 913's just want to go long and straight. Boom!

I thought my out of season (winter) was shaping up OK, but, after today's performance, where I thought I played like a ****, I am questioning it. I
struggled at the start today because I had my injury in my head and it
took me a few holes to get it out and relax and then I started to
scramble well and get off the the tee much better and put a run of pars together, I finished with 35
points with 2 blobs with the tee blocks moved back and no temps to finish 3rd in my Super 16's final day so I
suppose I should be pleased, but I'm not!!

I can however say that, Ibuprofen and real ale don't mix Image

Ain't all bad Fish - I reckon you'll come down at least 4-5 shots this year..

I did warn you about Ibuprofen & real ale!!!

Hi Highlander - what shafts you using in the 913s? I ask because I have been using the RIP Phenom which is great.  I have tried a Graphite Design AD DI 6s shaft but have found that more difficult to load - I assume I may not have quite enough swing sped ring and that the stiff in the ADDI is stiffer than the Phenom.

Hi Dutch

I've had Grafalloy Pro Launch Red in all my drivers since the MP 600, it just always seems to give me my best numbers. I am using the stock Diamana blue in the fairway and hybrid. I found the diamana picks the ball up off the deck the easiest in the fairway wood, it launched too high for my liking in the driver. Never had an issue with launching hybrids but it made sense to match up the shafts for gapping purposes.

Played the first round of the Golf Classic match play tournament.  Played very well, but it wasn't good enough.

Played 1-under my hcp.

Dormy 4, but my partner and I still managed to take it up the last hole.

Yesterday I made my first ever final at the golf club. After 16 weeks competing in a Top Dog league format and then 3 knockout rounds my mate and I made the final. I have never been so nervous over a 3 foot putt before! lol

played in the open at portpatrick on saturday

first time playing there and had my daughter pushing the trolley so it was a great day. the course was in top nick for this time of year and the greens were a good pace.

narrowly missed for birdie on 18 which looks like i missed the buffer by one....
