Need a bit more info really.

1) Did you do a DNA fitting?
2) Would you say you have a fast medium or slow tempo?
3) What other shafts have you used / liked in the past?
4) Did the clubs you bought just happen to be in stock....?
5) Are they Dynamic Gold S300 (gold band) or Dynalite Gold XP S300 (black band)?

Bottom line... Go get fitted somewhere that will do it properly!

Nothing can substitute a proper, detailed, comprehensive, accurate fitting.  There will be someone close enough to justify your trip there!

All the best...

Just bad advice there I'm afraid. The DNA DOES land on S300 but only if you have a particularly fast tempo, as it's about the heaviest shaft Mizuno offer (faster tempo = heavier shaft on the DNA system) . This really annoys me when "pros" don't understand the technology. I could understand if you stated you distinctly wanted a lower flight.

Having said all that, they should still work fine and I'd suggest sticking with them. How long have you had them? It will take a fair period of adjustment coming off reg shafts. Maybe you might've been better off with a mid weight shaft (like the XP) but the DG S300s have been the stock shaft for years with many, many manufacturers. It's a fine shaft.

Do you have lessons currently? Maybe a good local teaching pro could help you get the most out of the new sticks..

From what you described, you got very very similar results to me and height and weight is pretty close as well (I might be a touch bigger).

Here is the results I was recommend and fitted with

Specs - S300 Dyn.Gold XP Steel
            1/2" over mens std length
            2deg Upright
            +4 Papers

Still waiting on the Irons (MP H4) but loved hitting them on the range :)

So the recommended shaft (there where 2 others recommended, one was out of my price range but the fitter thought after looking at my swing, and with the DNA results the XP was the best to try) would most likely have been pretty good for you.....

Thanks for the input people.     I think I'm gona put the dynalite xp in them    I hit 1 today at the range got good height and distance was easily 10 yards more a realy nice flight with a 6 iron.   But would they start balooning with higher lofts.      Thanks again.         had a ****** nightmare with them today.    I was ok with the short irons up to 8iron     Long par 3s I've got no hope.    Lucky enough I have a pretty good drive.    That puts me within reach.                     I've been experimenting   R11s vs jpx800 driver       Jpx is winning  every time.   Another expensive mistake.

Big slice        I could take you up on that. Gona take them on a mizuno fitting day where I bought them. Then kick up a stick when my fitting comes back xp.      If that don't work what do you want for them..
