JPX825 irons v the rest: DISTANCE TEST

Wed Apr 17, 2013 3:32 pm

Posted by MPX

All - our R&D team did their own distance tests on a bunch of irons - after the JPX825 was left off of TM's Rocketbladez distance comparison charts.

All with 6 irons, with same loft, same shaft, length etc.

Just seen a video on you tube saying that the Nike Covert were 9 yds longer than the Rocketbladz, which makes them 4yds longer than the 825...lol...all a load of industry hype!, i can hit my 7-iron 145-150..Ping G25, a friend of mine has the 825 non-pro, and he is the same....its the indian not the arrow...lol...still i suppose the makers have to advertise,...at least Mizuno don't put the number 7 on a 6 iron!!!..nor do Ping...lol

We don't expect golfers to buy their irons on the concept that 'longest is best'.  Good for people to know that the TM aren't as staggering long as their campaign might be suggesting.

All people need to know is that Ping's look like this... (children and the easily offended, please look away now).

Mark Crossfield did a test between 825 and Rocketbladz irons, and his findings mirror Mizuno's. So not hype at all. It's TM who are behind the hype.

The Nike's are nice! The VR Pro Blade is even nicer, and then if you want to go even nicer again... play Mizuno!

wasn't the 825 6-iron Mark Crossfield used a specced up standard 6-iron, i.e....longer shaft and strengthened loft that he made up.....?
