They always say you can't win it on Thursday, but you CAN lose it. Rory well and truly lost it at the moment.

Westwood appears to be flushing it so far - just can't buy a putt as always

Westwood always flushes it. It must be so frustrating for him.

El Pato going well.

Big Pete (Hanson) withdraws after 5 holes

Joost Luiten must be delighted - he's been sat waiting for 9 hours waiting for a spot to open up....

I think that's unforgivably selfish. Hanson new he had an bad injury problem before he started. I bet Luiten is furious, and rightly so

I must say as much as I admire Ian Poulter for making it the hard way and all...his tweeting is really getting on my nerves. I think that's when social media is dangerous because a bit of a moan and groan, which he ordinarily might have said over a pint at the bar after his round, suddenly becomes headline news.

Less Tweeting and more practising Ian for god's sake. It's the same for everyone, just get on with it man

Exactly. All this twitter nonsense - put the laptop away.

As for Luke, this event is just too big an occasion for him.

Yes very disapointing from Luke. Without doubt the morning starters had the best of the conditions, but he still needs a 65 tomorrow. I'm not paying that much attention to the good morning scores as those boys have to go out late tomorrow. Tiger Wood's round in those afternoon conditions was awesome.

That Roy Mcevoy had a brilliant round of 65 especially as he'd broken all his clubs apart fom his 5 iron. Apparantly he won £10,000 off Tiger Woods after betting he couldn't knock a pelican of it's perch with a wedge from the clubhouse bar ;)
