Something weird is going on with the shaft lengths of the MP-4 on the USA site. 3-8 iron 1/2 inch shorter, and 9,PW 1/4 inch shorter than listed on the European site. The lengths on the European site are in line with all the other MP models. Is this an error with the "unofficial" USA site specs?

Finally KBS C-Taper shafts are among custom shafts for the irons! :)

The only problem - we have nowhere to try them here in Lithuania...

I just hit the new irons of 54 and 4´s.
I was surprised how easy the MP4 irons were to hit with the S300 shaft.
That is too "heavy" shaft for me, I don´t have the speed to use that shaft.
Ball flight is just too low.
But with a lighter shaft, the MP4 just feels so good.
I also tested the MP54. It is a nice looking club, but for me, the MP4 looks better.
I don´t really know if there is so much that I´d loose choosing the MP4 all the way to MP-H4 3 iron instead of MP54´s.
Maybe I should change the 4 iron also for a H4 in the MP4´s.
There is always the option to do a combo of all three of these, but I don´t know if that would look so good in the bag.  :-)
I had already said to my self, that next set of clubs would be more helpful to my game, as the MP62  I use today, are not a off-center-hit friendly clubs. Bad strike, will give bad results.
But after hitting and looking at the MP4, the decision will be difficult.
Any thoughts on that?  ;-)

If I can´t hit the MP4´s, I can always hang them on the wall.....

Dropped by my local AG to-day and had a look at the new Mizuno MP-4 & MP-54 irons,

They had a full set of the MP-4s in stock but only had the 6 iron demo club of the MP-54s they are still awaiting delivery of complete sets in a couple of weeks!

They are having a Mizuno demo day on Thursday the 19th September so I’ve booked a slot at 3.00pm with Rolland and I’ll get the chance to give them a hit see how they stack up against my 59s

In the meantime I’m off tomorrow for an 8 day none golfing family holiday to Marbella sunny Spain

Where is your local AG John, Irvine? There is a demo day at Irvine on the 20th I was thinking about booking a fitting see what these new irons are like. However not sure if its a good idea, the bank balance might take a bit of a hit!

Have a good holiday...

Hi Dougie,

Yes it’s AG at Irvine I just checked the Mizuno site and the demo day is the 20th as you say!
I’m sure the guy I spoke to at AG said it was Thursday the 19th when I booked it for 3.00pm

I’ll give them a ring when I return from Holiday to make sure I turn up on the correct day,

I know this is always going to be the danger the bank balance could take a hit :(

Is it wrong to be in love with a set of golf clubs? That's how I feel about the MP-54's even though I haven't hit them. Very tempted to replace my 825's with the MP-54's, I guess I should hit a few shots with them before I buy them :)

I said to myself at the beginning of the season, "as your clubs are starting to look worn, treat yourself to a new set of irons at the end of the season" I've been playing MP-58's & MP- T10's for 5 + years now and was going to get fitted for the MP59's, that was until I set my eyes on the 54's! I was initially thinking of the 54's as would like a little bit more help with the longer irons; I went to have my Mizuno swing DNA fit the other day and try the 54's out. Fortunately, I also hit the MP-4 :) :) :) Ohhhh my god, these irons are amazing, an absolute joy to hit and I couldn't get enough of it, it was like I was craving a drug...!! Apart from the amazing feel, flight and consistent carry (170 - 174 yards with the 6 iron fitted with Project X 6.5) I was impressed with the relative forgiveness on a miss hit :) My hunger for the game was sparked back into life last year when my son's game really started coming on...and now I've hit the MP-4's the spark has turned into a raging out of control fire and wish it was the start of the season not the end :angry:They've been ordered and my set will now comprise of: MP-4 PW-5, MP-H4 4 & 2 & MP-T4 50, 56 &60
