Haha Hank Haney - the best thing they could to describe him as is "recognisable", not respected or esteemed.

Great idea Hank - take my rubbish swing and really groove in the bad habits... after having watched 4 series of The Haney Project, I have zero confidence of him as a coach.

Great if one CAN do it every day, but for us working stiffs in the world... somedays the time just isn't there.

I do agree with everything he is saying and try to pick up an iron every night and swing for 5-10 minutes just to keep the memory thing going.

mmmm.... His record with Tiger would suggest otherwise!

what is that difference between doing it on the course, the range or just swinging a club in the back yard? You are grooving your swing doing any of these, no?

I think alot of what Hank teaches makes alot of sense. I don't put much stock into what he does in his shows as they generally pick guys who suck at golf for the entertainment value. The fundamentals he teaches seem very solid as far as i'm concerned.

He's been pushing this through his twitter for a while now.  I try to do a few swings in the office through the week.

My practice swing is a lot smoother and better balanced than my actual swing, so I feel that a few practice swings a day would help me.  I'm trying to swing smoother and more powerful, so yes I like the idea of '100 swings a day'.

The big issue, and where I think Pete is coming from, is that practice doesn't make perfect, it makes permanent!  If you swing 100 times a day with a bad swing, then it's the bad swing that you will be grooming.  If the swing is good then great, your handicap will be dropping like crazy.

Exactly. I don't think this is good advice personally.

Go see a pro and make sure you are swinging it correctly first. If you are not you will only ingrain the mistake making it harder to eradicate.

Pretty sure that is what Hank does in his shows. He shows them exactly what he wants them to do in their swing and then tells them to work on grooving that with the practice swings. He isn't telling anyone to make 100 swings any way you like and you will instantly become a better player.

I just hit 100 practice swings a day in my dreams. Is just as good as doing it for real and a lot less tiring ;)

That's exactly what he says in the vid :) At no point does he say "make sure you see a pro and your swing is good shape before you start". That was my beef with this particular video. He makes out that, however you swing, doing it 100 a day will make it better. IMO it could just as easily make it worse if there's no pro-involvement.
