New JPX wedges

They're up on the site

Looks like they're cast, dark finish, and fully available in LH. Slightly odd looks tbh, but they look very "business"

They ARE cast...

Looks a nice wedge range to go with the new EZ irons, and great to have some different bounce options too :).

Does anyone know what the 3 little cut outs in the back are for, or are they just a cosmetic touch?

A lot nicer looking than the last incarnation of the JPX wedge. I was more than happy with the last incarnation as I used a 56° SW last year along with my JPX Pros. This one looks so much better and I'd happily put it in my bag if I needed one.

Those cut outs are a feature they're calling DHC technology. Dynamic Hamonising Channels. They improve the feel by making the sound 34% better. They made up several prototypes but found while testing that 3 was the optimum number of "DHC"s. If you can find a prototype with 4 "DHC"s it's worth a fortune apparently. They are slightly different widths on the higher lofted models to maximise harmonic synchronisation.

Ordered the JPX gap wedge 50* from my local stockist a couple of weeks ago with a custom shaft. It arrived today with the gun metal finish and new smooth sole grind. I compared it to the JPX weedge on the rack in the store and they're quite different. Ok says I, have I been given a new updated model or an older model I haven't seen. Registered here (Great site BTW) to upload some pictures of it to see if anyone knew.

Boom - pictures already up on the site, it's a new design. I hit about 2 dozen balls on the range with it and it does exactly what I wanted, namely sits perfectly between my PW and SW. Very easy to hit on full shots. Will need some on course time to see how good it is around the greens.

Really liking the look of those. I've got a 56* of the current iteration in the bag now and absolutely love it.

Very interesting, thanks for that BP :). I'm not sure why Mizuno don't mention it on there website though.

Found these - Japan only I guess - but if you want a forged option....
