thanks to all,

you won't find a new one iron anywhere...no one makes them any more.

2 iron - you might be lucky, but I think you'll have to buy one second hand. Seriously though, why would want a 1 iron? I recently dropped the 2 and 3 iron from my bag...the hybrids with no offset are better.

Got to agree with Rob on this. I can't see any benefit to either a 1 or 2 iron when you can play suitable hybrids (Titleist 910H has no offset and the MP CLK is good value and has little offset)which give you a much wider choice of shot options. hybrids are much easier to hit off tees and the turf as well as out of the rough. I'd be suprised if you can get the distance & control with a 1 or 2 iron which you could get with a hybrid.

Thanks for the answers, when i say that i'm looking for this stuff i never expected to get new one but indeed only second hand.

So yes i am looking for an Iron 2, and about the 1 i am using one Callaway, (used it at my last competiton) that a friend lent me and it is working well.I plan to test HI FLI stuff to see if it works well for me.

The number of the iron is irrelevant nowadays because the lofts of each club has changed. Many Mizuno 3 irons today has the same loft as the 2 iron 50 years ago. I assume the 2 irons found/made today have the same loft as a 1 iron 50 years ago based on simple math.

Will it be possible to hit a modern day 1 iron with the loft even less than 1 irons from years past?

I personally am hoping that Mizuno will make forged 2 irons for their MP iron sets. Perhaps sold by special order only and at a premium price.
