Hi all, just bagged a "keep in the boot of the car for last minute games" set of clubs from eBay - a nice looking set of the old T Zoid Pro II's. I had these a few years ago and always regretting selling them. For less than £100 can't go wrong (hopefully!)

Some new MP T4 wedges may be in order from Snainton I think... :)

Looking real nice there Chris, nice setup.

Changes coming; MP-69's 8-PW will be going into the bag as soon as I can get them reshafted. I'm sticking with the Aerotech's, i'm liking these shafts more and more each time I use them. I'm pretty sure i'm going to look at a shaft change with my driver though, it doesn't quite launch as high as I like, so the hunt is one for something else.

It's crazy really, i'm trying to replicate how my old MX-560 performs without actually putting it back in the bag.

No, I have a Kuro Kage 60 installed currently. I've read alot of people saying they did not like this shaft in a driver but loved it in the fairway woods, so I may chop it down and try it in my 3 wood eventually but i'm liking the Proforce V2 I have in it right now.

As for what i'm looking for, not sure yet. The RIP Phenom is one that is on my radar, but I need to do a little more research/experimenting first.

So, my local American Golf had a Tour Truck demo day, along with a Mizuno fitting day...

Out goes the VR Pro hybrid, in comes the MP-H4 3 iron with the DG X100 shaft...

I also picked up some MP S balls, which I had a quick putt with - really nice, lovely soft feel.

So, I started in January and had a DNA fitting - this lead to a set of MP-69 irons and a free wedge  I loved the feel from the wedge so much, I ordered the matching sand wedge...  Now I've completed the 'iron' set with an MP-H4...

Add to this my new Driver, Tour Spoon, 3Wood HL and Putter (sadly not Mizuno) I now have more clubs than Pat Perez has snapped...

What don't you like about the Kuro Kage Freddy? Dispersion/launch/spin etc?

I personally love the Accra shafts, mid range in terms of expense but awesome in terms of feel. I am having a play with going all 'steel' (see separate thread) but that's more to do with the mad scientist in me than not liking my driver which is the best set up I've ever had.

Don't forget to redo the tipping if you chop down the driver shaft, I forgot in one that I did, then wondered why it felt so crappy :D

hehe, ya, I can imagine it wouldn't feel good in a 3 wood with no tipping :)

It is spinning too much I think. I hit the driver well today and it just isn't getting the distance i'm accustomed to. Checking the marks on the face and it is coming right of the middle. It's also a lower ball flight than i'm looking for, so tipping it 1/2" to knock off some spin isn't likely to help with that.

I'm having the same issue with my irons too, so it could be that is just early in the season. I'm going to get on the launch monitor tomorrow to check a few things. I have the 69's 8-PW with S300's in them and the 53's with the Aerotech's in them, so I can do a somewhat head to head on those to see what the numbers are like.

I may give the Accra shafts a look. Their headquarters are only an hour or so ride away from where I live too.

Went to hit balls on the launch monitor today to confirm which shafts to go with and wouldn't you know, the numbers were pretty much the same. I was hoping there would be a clear cut choice! Anyways, i'll stick with the Aerotech's for now and get them put into the 69 8-PW. I was hoping to get them done today but they told me they wouldn't be ready until Wednesday. I'm on vacation the next two days so i'm holding off on that for now.

Still Looking at driver shaft, my average launch was 8.5 degrees. That is too low for my liking. I haven't tried anything I have launched over 10 yet though. I just feel i'm giving up a fair few yards right now. i'm using a 10.5 head so it could be that I just need to work on the AoA more than chucking more money at another shaft.
